What to Expect at Your First Dental Visit in Montebello
If it has been a while since your last cleaning, the hardest part is usually making the call. Here is exactly what happens once you do — no surprises, no lectures.
Before you arrive
Bring a photo ID, your insurance card if you have one, and a list of medications. Arrive about 10 minutes early to complete forms, or fill them out online beforehand.
If you do not have insurance, ask about our $59 new patient special that includes the exam, cleaning and necessary X-rays.
During the visit
We start with a conversation about your goals and any discomfort. Then come digital X-rays, a cleaning with one of our hygienists, and a full exam with Dr. Lina Shahinyan, including an oral cancer screening.
Plan for 45 to 60 minutes. If you are nervous, tell us — we can take breaks and explain each step.
After the visit
You will leave with a clear summary of what we found and written estimates for any recommended care. Nothing is scheduled until you are comfortable with the plan.
