Evaluate
X-rays show root shape and nearby nerves.

Do wisdom teeth always need to come out?
No. Wisdom teeth that are fully erupted, healthy and easy to clean can stay. We recommend removal when they are impacted, partially erupted, decaying, or causing gum infections or crowding.
How do I prevent dry socket?
Don’t smoke, drink through a straw or spit forcefully for at least 72 hours. These protect the blood clot that heals the socket. We send you home with clear written instructions.

Does a tooth extraction hurt?
You should feel pressure, not pain. Sedation is available if you are nervous.
What can I eat after an extraction?
Soft, cool foods like yogurt, smoothies (with a spoon), mashed potatoes and soup for the first few days.
How long does it take to heal?
Gums close in one to two weeks; the bone continues healing for a few months.
Should I replace an extracted tooth?
Usually yes, to prevent shifting and bone loss. We discuss implants, bridges and partials before extraction.
