The short answer
Professional fluoride varnish is a concentrated, fast-drying coating painted on teeth to strengthen enamel and help reverse early cavities. It takes about a minute, does not hurt, and is recommended every six months for children and for adults at higher cavity risk. Fluoride is included in our $49 children’s complete checkup.

Is fluoride safe for children?
Yes. Professional fluoride varnish uses a very small amount that is applied, not swallowed, and it is recommended by both the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry for children at every risk level.
Do adults need fluoride treatments?
Adults with receding gums, dry mouth, frequent cavities, or orthodontic appliances benefit from fluoride too. It also calms sensitivity on exposed root surfaces.
